Riser Inspection in New Iberia
- We offer a complete dimensional inspection of drilling risers along with non-destructive inspection using the latest technology (see our inspection tool division).
- Within the past four years we have performed inspection services along with blasting & coating to over 800 varieties of drilling riser both on site & off site.
- By having water front access we have reduced transportation cost to our customers & a reduction in damage from trucking for large shipments
- Marine Riser Inspection Standards:
- Scope: The following is are the standards for all of All Points Riser Inspection program that can be used on all manufactured marine drilling risers. These include ‘dog style’ risers and ‘flange style’ risers. Examples of the ‘dog style’ risers include MR-6, MR-4, RCK, FC-7, FC-8, FD-8, and DT-2. Examples of ‘flange style’ risers include MR-F and HMF FT.
- Visual inspection, dimensional inspection, ultrasonic testing (Reference Specs: Per customer or ASTM E317-94, ASTM E494-95, ASTM E797-95, ASNT SNT-TC-1A), Liquid Penetrate Examination (Reference Specs: Per customer or ASTM E165, API 6A, ASNT SNT-TC-1A) and Magnetic Particle Examination/Ultrasonic Examination (Reference Specs: Per customer or ASTM E709, ASNT SNT-TC-1A, API 6A, ASME, MIL-STD-271F (SH), ANSI/ASME B31.2
